Question for computer experts!?
Hi. I have get my wireless service from verizon and I have a linksys router. My home computer is working fine with the wireless (it’s connected to the router) but my laptop isn’t. My laptop is not plugged in to the computer or the router, it is wireless but for a few days now I cannot connect to the internet using my laptops. A few days ago there was a storm and the power went out, I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. Anyway I remember last time I couldn’t connect to the internet a friend told me to try going to 1. start 2. run 3. cmd 4. ipconfig 5. ping 6. ping google.com and I did all that and instead of getting 4 replies which would mean everything is working fine I got a message that said “media state……….media disconnected” and when i typed in ping with the ip address i got 4 “destination host unreachable” messages. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks.
Also I should add that when I try to find networks on my laptop my network doesn’t show up at all.
have you checked your network connection. You might have your wireless disconnected, so you would have to enable it.
