How to disable visa card autopayment?

Hello guys,
Last week my hosting company sent me an invoice for the next payment and a day after that i recieved a “Successful invoce payment” regarding the fact the comapny took the amount from my visa card automatically on his own.
I wonder how this could be possible in the system?
Instantly i read the agreement of the company which they had stated that “Inform us, Otherwise we charge your billing automatically from the credit card account”.
This make me amazed. Now can you help me how i can disable auto payment option forever. Imagin this way one can get how much from my account without my permission.
And further how this option works at all in online banking system?Maybe i lack information in this issue!!!

Thanks

I work in a bank and hope I can help you. The only way to disable an auto payment is to first contact the company and tell them (by phone and follow-up in writing) that they are no longer authorized to withdraw funds from any of your accounts. After that, you contact your bank and place a “stop payment on the ACH”. ACH = automatic clearing house which is a fancy term for automatic deposits and withdrawls. For them to do this, at some point you had to have agreed to allow them access to take payments directly from your account. Without an account number they can’t even begin to do this. Was the card you used actually a debit card instead of a regular credit card? The statement in your agreement that you quoted above indicates you had to let them know you didn’t want auto payments rather than the reverse. That’s where the fine print comes in.

Setup WAMP Apache to use virtual hosts instead of aliases? (also mod_rewrite)?

I want to emulate my web hosting account locally for development and testing, using WAMPSERVER 2.0 under Windows..

So I can add an entry in the .hosts, eg. “local.mydomain.com” pointing at “127.0.0.1″, no problem there, but how do I get Apache configured to use the virtual host name? I have no problem setting up folder aliases, eg. localhost/mydomain, I just don’t know how to map the virtual host name to a directory like you would do in an alias.

Next issue is enabling url rewriting. I uncommented the line “LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so” in httpd.conf but this doesn’t seem to be enough.. I am using Drupal 6.6 but it is detecting that rewrite is not enabled, possibly this is because it is running from an alias folder..

Quick 10 points for first correct answer, I don’t need a long detailed write up on Apache config. Thanks. :-)

You need to use NameVirtualHost and set up VirtualHost configuration in your httpd.conf or an included file for each domain. you will also require the machine to see a dns set to this for it to truly work correctly.
